What would you do after your pet dies?

I have two female cat they are sister both was born our closet. After 8 or 9 years one of my cat got really sick ( Chronic Renal Failure ) and urinating blood. I can't afford vet and contacted some pet shelter in Chicago told them my situation and nothing was achieve. seems like I only have enough cash to put my pet to sleep and food for the other cat. I did my best to keep my cat healthy and happy to my limit. I wish I would give 10 years of my life to them cause they made me happy. Trying to decide if I should bury my cat or cremate.
