Why do I fail in everything I do? I have an IQ of 128, have lots of friends, admirers?

but I can never hold on to a job long enough to get a raise or promotion. I come from a family of high achievers and highly-paid professionals. But I'm the only one who's doing low-level clerical job because I dropped out of college for love 10 years ago. Tried to go back to school few years ago but quit again half way due to lack of interest in the course. Without paper qualifications, you're screwed in this city.
