Question about scamming on paypal? (can it happen if someone tries to send you money through email?

On youtube a music producer offered to send me $50 through paypal to audioswap one of my popular videos from one song to another so he can get more advertising on one particular songs...he also asked if i didnt want paypal i could use (banks accounts, xbox live points, WU and other stuff) but if i give him my email adress that is linked to my account so he can just send me money is it possible that he could scam me? alls he asks for is for me to agree to a contract so i dont switch music once he has sent me the money and my paypal email address so he can send me money? could i get screwed or is it safe to do?
