People avoid me for being from a different background.?

I attended a private elementary school. Ever since I set foot in publc school in '81, people avoid me because of I'm middle cl. Back then, my father was popular due to being istant principal, but it wasn't as if I advertised it. Now, I work at a restaurant. Despite treating people the way I want to be treated, it's the same. When they've seen the 5 cars, they ask about them; I don't advertise those either. I do take my magazines for when I've got free time. I have had lots of seizures there due to stress. I've never use epilepsy as a crutch; as a matter a fact, I've worked the day after having had 2 grandmal seizures back to back. I don't understand why people umed something as oppose to getting to know a person. I don't patronize anyone.
